The Blundstone Retail Design Concept was conceived by Blundstone HQ, and its interpretation and implementation were integrated into the final brand guidelines worldwide.

“Enable people to walk their own path” - The inspiration behind the retail design is rooted in bringing Blundstone’s vision to life – to inspire people to explore their world, their way.
“Everywhere life takes me” - With this vision in mind, a space was crafted to expand the brand’s identity through visual storytelling, seamlessly merging the vibrancy of everyday city life with the serene ambiance of a secluded forest waiting to be explored. The store interior is thoughtfully divided into two sections: Nature and Urban Life, symbolizing the diverse surroundings where Blundstone products can be embraced.

Nature. Immerse customers in the tranquil charm of a rural countryside. Woodland characteristics, cleverly casting shadows for depth and warmth, are present throughout the space. Textural woods, and the lushness of forest ferns, grasses, and feathery mosses are artfully combined to bring the outdoors indoors.
Urban Life. In stark contrast, the Urban Life section exudes an industrial modern feel. Featuring concrete plinths and cool black metallic finishes, this area strategically uses mirrors to reflect the nature aspect into a metropolitan city look. The design accentuates the day-to-day functionality of a Blundstone boot.
The walls are adorned with numerous iconic Blundstone taglines, logos and lifestyle images, reminiscent of windows and billboards found in every city. Accompanying these are sample pieces of leather hanging from simplistic rails, alongside examples of various sole units and toe caps, allowing customers to explore the unique characteristics of each style.



The Blundstone range is displayed in the Urban Life section of the store, allowing the clean lines and textures to showcase the collection as a complete story. This arrangement facilitates grouping styles into clear, separate series, visually enhancing the shopping experience. During the research process, our focus centered on Blundstone’s beliefs and taglines, all emphasizing or incorporating the feeling of movement—a theme we aimed to express in displaying the products. From this concept, the decision was made to recreate the motion of a simple walking cycle using multiple plinths, each representing a different position in the walking process. This interactive display allows customers to view the boots from various angles.
The seating area is thoughtfully arranged in the Nature part of the store, creating a sense of calm for customers trying on the products. Importantly, this position offers a clear view of the entire product range. The finishing touch in the shopping experience is the till point. We aimed for this element to act as a visible connection between the two themes, seamlessly merging the characteristics of Nature and Urban across the counter through a blend of wood and concrete materials.
Every element of the store’s interior has been meticulously designed to create a fully versatile and interchangeable space. It can be easily modified to fit into locations of various sizes, providing transferable and reusable elements for both shows and stores.

“ Never stand still “ - The Human Walking Data plinth aims to recreate the motion of a simple walk cycle using multiple plinths, each representing a different position in the walking process. This interactive display allows customers to view the boots from various angles.




“ Design to work - A history of design and making boots “ - The Blundstone production process and materials will be showcased in the store, offering customers a visual shopping experience that leads them to the boots displayed by series. Accompanying each range will be an example of the sole and toe cap, presented on a vertical stand for customers to clearly understand the differences between series.
